Clarification
1. Do we need to design self driven cars for blind or taxi/hired vechile accompanies with driver
Ans- Self driven cars
2. Is it allowed in the country as per the norms?
Ans- Assuming no product exists like that so once we have the product vision and plan in the place then will get the driving perimission as well.
3. Do we need to make app based product or car itself with features for blind people
Ans- I would like to make app thru which blind can book the car and drive the at their own capacity without any driving support. To narrow down the scope I would like to car as product for the blind. Building an app is a seperate thing.
User segment
1. Blind people who wants to have a rentedself driven car to be used ocassionally.
2. High frequency users like daily offcie commuters.
3. Moderate users
Goal- To increase the user engagement
Pain Points
1. I am not aware of the routes where I need to drive
2. I want to drive the car at my own without/with minimum support
3. I do not know when to recharge the vechile with fuel and if the right quantity of fuel is delivered\
4. I am not aware of the traffic signals
5. I do not know if I am walking in a safe zone or at a high risk zone. I need help to cross the crowded roads
6. I do not know if the vechile is good or need service and repair
Solution
1. An automated system where the driver can drive car but simulated mode can guide the drive to take the right directions
2. The automated system in the car should tell to the driver if a vechile is coming from the front or back and how much is the distance maintainted.
3. An automated self control system should be able to control the car if the driver is not able to control the vechile properly to avoid any accidents
4. There shoud be a voice command system that should tell the driver in advance on the possible Risk for the specific route where the driver wants to go with his car. Like poor roads, traffic congestion on the specific hours etc and possible ways as alternate solution to avoid such risks
5. The car should be capable enough to tell the user/driver on the maintaince condition and available fuel and how long the car can run with the left over fuel. It should also tell the user about the nearest fuel station and maintainance garage.
6. In case of high Risk travel routes or any kind of unestimated Risk there should be an automated system that should trigger notification/msg to the family, police and to the hospital for emergency
Prioritisation
I would like to prioritise the above features based on user experieince, business value/impact, cost and complexity
