Design a note taking app for the elderly.

Broadly who do you classify as elderly for target group: People with decent cognitive skills, have some education, with at least some?  - Yes

Channel: Mobile - Yes

What is included in Note taking: make checklists, recording information or something else? – Make your own assumptions.

Target users:

1. Adept at using smart phone – use whatsapp, watch youtube, Netflix, send emails, do stock trading, actively use bank apps, less skeptical of tech/ tech’s capabilities

2. Moderate user of smart phone features – whatsapp, youtube, Netflix, rarely send emails. Don’t understand tech, skeptical of tech/ ability to use it

3. Hardly use smart phone features – Use smart phone for calling, don’t understand tech and high spectical of tech and their ability to use it.

Scope:

·       Targeting users who are adept at using smart phones – These users will be most benefited since they actively use the smart phones. The will be early adopters and will help spread the word to other user groups.

Pain points:

Creating notes involves typing, which is difficult on the phone

Old notes are difficult to locate

It is not easy to mark items as done in digital checklist

Cannot do quick calculations on a digital notepad

Don’t feel safe with recording passwords, account number in notes
