Pick an app for listening to music & podcasts. What is this app's goal? What does it do well? What can be improved to drive engagement?

Goal of the app is to create a platform where the music listeners can seamlessly and easily listen and explore songs. and providing a platform for the music enthusiasts to share their art. I deduced this from the general intuitiion and from the spotify's vision statement.

We envision a cultural platform where professional creators can break free of their medium's constraints and where everyone can enjoy an immersive artistic experience that enables us to empathize with each other and to feel part of a greater whole.

So typically the user segments are of two types:

- Creator

- Consumer

In my opinion Spotify ranks very good in providing a good experience for the consumers/listeners which leads to good app engagement, but i often rarely get to listen to new creators music. It could be due to recommendations, but still i suppose it can improve in providing a better experience for the beginners/amateurs who are interested in creating music/podcasts that can make them use the app more which drives the app engagement.

So how can spotify improve in this aspect.

Let's look at the needs and painpoints of a music creator:

- Want to try out different instruments for the song mixing but the tools available are too complex to understand and use.

- Want to meet new folks who can help them out in creating or collab for the next project

So majorly these are few needs of a music creator. By working on the second point, it will help the music creators to connect with people whom they want to collaborate with. This helps in creating content easily - a similar experience of how gym motivation can be increased with having a gym buddy.
