Any streaming services platform will have the following four layers
1) Content Ingestion- The content from production houses is ingested into the streaming services platform, broken down into episodes etc.
2) Content preparation- This step encompasses the following items:
a) Encoding the content- Compress using audio and video codecs
b) Add metadata, captioning etc.
c) Ad markers

3) Content distribution- The content is then hosted over a storage e.g. AWS S3 and a cloud wrapper is added around it. With this the content is available across one or more CDNs (Content Delivery Network)
4) Content Playback- This is what happens when user clicks play. Apart from the playback, there are other supporting services e.g
