A content delivery platform or a content pipeline will have the following steps:
Step 1- The editorial team ingests the content and creates a trigger for the content delivery platform
Step 2- An catalogue application will add metadata in JSON format, Captions etc. and push then data to a transcoder
Step 3- The transcoder encodes the content for various fidelity levels and loads the data into a storage e.g. Amazon S3
Step 4: Once the data is loaded into a storage, a polling application e.g. SQS looks for new content being loaded in S3 and trigger an on-demand service e.g. lambda to verify tye in integrity of the data
Step 5: Once the data integrity has been verified, a DRM service will encrypt the data
Step 6: An Ad service will create ad markers and create a content manifest
Step 7: CMS(Content Management Service) will be informed about the manifest
Step 8: The content will be wrapped by a CDN wrapper e.g. Akamai Cloudwrapper
