TCIP is the abbreviation of Transmission Control/ Internet Protocol. This is in layman's term is the communication language that an Internet Connected device uses to connect with other internet connected devices. It is in essence, a computerized syntax that is installed on every computer, both for Public and private networks.
TCP/IP is a two layered program: the higher layer TCP disassembles the message content into small data packets that are then transmitted over the internet to be re-assembled by the receiving computer's TCP back into the message's original form. The lower layer IP plays the role of the address manager & gets the packet to the correct destination. IP addresses are checked by every computer in a network to ensure messages are frwarded as needed.
It runs on the client-server communication model, meaning that the user of a first computer alias Client makes a request such as forwarding a webpage, to a second network computer or the server. It also relies on point-point communication, meaning the communication moves from one host to another with a predefined network boundary. TCP/IP is also considered stateless as each request is new and unrelated to all the previous requests. This makes sure that the network pathways is free to be continuously used by all.
