Pitching a new feature to the executives or stakeholders requires  thorugh study , structure and the pitch/

In order to present a feature, I would do the following :

1. Pre review deck to be sent a couple of days before

2. Deck contains the following structure :

  • Slide 1 : Since Executives are always tight on time, the initial slide would be the summary - product vision statement in 4 or 5 words, say A dog walking app could have the vision statement as Being the "uber" for dog walkers
  • Slide 2 : Where ? Market Segment
  • Slide 3 : For whom ? Users and their pain points
  • Slide 4: Why are we solving the problem ? Intersection of User goals and  Business goals
  • Slide 5 : What are the Feature sets ?
  • Slide 6 : Timeline - Visualization map of launch timelines
  • Slide 7 : Revenue & Metrics
  • Slide 8 : Appendix to contain:
    • PoC (Supporting Slide 1 and Slide 5)
    • Data validation  (Supporting Slide 4 and 7)
    • UxR (Supporting slide 2 and 3)
    • Competitive analysis (Parity vs Differentiator)
    • Launch plans
      • Pre launch plans
      • Post launch plans

This is a great framework.  I would start slide 1 with the problem statement along with some statistics/data to back me up for that problem from my research.  This will keep the execs engaged from the get go. Then derive Market, user segments and the pain points...

Instead of saying why are/should we solve- i would position this to be "If we solved for this problem, what does sucess look like for the company", the OKRs.
