Goal: Improve customer experience once a user places an order on door dash.
Who are the probable users: Drivers, Restaurant owners and consumers. I can further break down users into ordering for party or usual food orderning user.
I wanna pick people ordering for party.
Pain Points: 1) Urgency
2) Sometime forget things to order due to hurry
3) Not able to reach user when delivering food as a user/host is usually busy
I wanna pick 3 to solve this.
Here are different solutions
Solution | Pros | Cons |
Ask for alternate phone number if ordering for party | Add alternate person so increases the chance to reply the delivery guy | If the other is also busy |
Drop at the front door | Which is currently happening anyway | Food gets cold during winter |
Automatically adds hot packets to food like pizza etc | Even if host finds out food is there for few minutes late, food is still hot and ready to serve | Dropping for every order would add extra cost or overhead |
Of all the options, I think the last option does help in solving problem in reaching user about their delivery. And may be we could add pricing of the hot packet during the delivery.
KPI's to measure
1) % of users were happy with post order expreince by adding few questions(on a sccale of 1-10)
2) % of users found hot packets useful?
3) Did the user reorder again for a party?
