Now androind is on 3 billion devices and almost all the users take photos
Social network such as instagram have 100% of their posts in terms of photos.
- Android users upload small number of photos from google photos to FB/Instagram
So many memories captured in the photos, and users tend to come back to see the photos again

Benefits of providing free space to users on google photos

Engagement on google photos is increasing because of Photo/Album sharing , Memories of photos
- Google did not scucced in its first attempt at social network because of lack of engagement
  - Can potentially build new social network based just purely on photos and memories.
Can improve their image search accuracy because users can tag the content in photos
- Almost all faces in the google photos are identified
  - Also means that it is easier to build the social network
Google photos can become personal album for every user in the world. Also, once you have enough number of photos for a person stored in google photos, users would be locked in and trust factor increases.
- Google photos can be tightly integrated with Duo/Hangout/meet to increase the adoption of other B2C gooogle products
