Design an online psychology support platform.
Clarifying questions
- Who are we à let’s say a medical wellness startup
- When you say platform, is it app or web based à You can choose
o I can take app as a scope
- Any resource or time constraint à No
- What is the vision and goal as a startup à To enable mentally healthier India
- Goal à User engagement
- For this product, can I assume the geography as India à yes
Narrowed scope
- Build an app to enable mentally healthier India and increasing user onboarding and engagement
User segments
- Teenagers (at this stage going through several changes and challenges)
- Old age people living alone à depression
- People facing trauma
- Secondary segment
o Professional support
Since depression and trauma are quite specialized, In the MVP version I would like to target the teenagers group as they are more tech savvy and the issues might be comparatively known
I agree there would be overlapping between depression and trauma segments too
User journey
Asha a 15 year old girl à body shamed in school à look for support and google for support à find some generic advice
Pain-points
- Dearth of support online
- Personalized support
- Safe and reliable space
In my perspective, the biggest pain-point is the personalized support a teenager is expecting. From the content and material available they might have the basic idea on how to tackle this but every situation and person is different so the approach to handle that would be different
