The product manager is the voice of the market inside the company. The market consists of customers and non- customers, buyers and users in target market segments. They are the truth tellers to executive management, development, sales and other parts of the company synthesizing meaningful market data into actionable information.

Product manager builds consensus and is welcomed into strategic planning and tactical activities

Its the role of the product manager to assure that the company's solution set and messaging are aligned with the company's strategy and market needs

I always liked how technology solves problems. This led me to product management. Facebook is an interesting company as it solves a different probelm - problem of connectivity. Humans are social beings and with rise of technology, facebook was able to provide an answer to the issue of connectivity via technology. This is insprining because of the barriers it has broken -- primarily distance; People can easily find their schoolmates even after 20 years of their graduation on this platform, people can talk to their family overseas with help of messenger and even video calls.

My aspirations of solving problems via techology and facebook's solution for connectivity resonate with my career objectives and hence I want to join FB as a PM
