-----
A sellar works with the amazon because of two reasons,
1. Monetary Benefit (Primary)
2. Experience (Secondary)
The solution to this problem is a two step process
1. Understanding reason why sellars stopped working with the amazon
2. Solving for the problem faced to bring them back on amazon
Now lets understand what all things sellar does,
Sellar logs in >> uploads inventory >> invenory available for sale > customer places order on amazon >> amazon informs sellar about the order >> Sellar Accepts/Cancels the order >> Sellar packs the order >> makes it available for shipment >> Order is picked by 3rd party logistics >> Order is delivered >>
Now either
1. Sellar is paid,<> customer writes review >> Sellar raises issue
2. Customer returns the order >> Order picked >> order returned to orign
Now lets see what can go wrong ?
- Sellar not able to login
- Either problem in sellar panel (not possible or else every one would be affeceted)
- Switched to competition
- Stopped shop altogether
- Sellar not able to unload/update inventory
- Either problem in sellar panel (not possible or else every one would be affeceted)
- Does not have enough inventory to uplaod
- Unable to make the inventory live (not possible or else every one would be affeceted)
- Not enough orders from customer
- Not being informed timely about the order
- Not able to accept/Cancel the order
- Either problem in sellar panel (not possible or else every one would be affeceted)
- High cancellation penalty (sellar rating/monetary penalty)
- Not able to pack the order
- No packing material
- No labour to pack order
- New packing policy, not able to understand
- Not able to make available for shipment
- Either problem in sellar panel (not possible or else every one would be affeceted)
- Order not picked timely by 3pl
- Sellar not happy with the commision
- Less commison
- Some deductables
- Not able to understand payment structure
- Bieng offered better commition by Competitor
- Sellars issue not resolved properly
- High Returns
Looking at these reasons, the reasons can be of different type either
- Consumer side
- Sellar Side
- Product Side
- Commition side
- Issue/Experience Side
- Logistics side
- Politcy Issue
Based on these issue, i would look at the issues raised by the lost sellars, based on the top issues (volume) raised by the sellar, we would generate a list of solution, then choose best solution (on criteria such as impact cost) and then implement the solution to get them back to the platform, for eg solutions could be
1. If commision is the issue, then we would increase the commision of the sellar and renew the contract
2. If problem is that issues are not resolved in time, then commit priority support to the lost sellars
3. If they are not getting enough orders, (lets say orders for category is not low), then provide mininum orders guarantee to the sellars, by providing priority in the sellar listing at the product page etc
