What is location or geography of office, so that I know the climatic conditions? – Global

Do we have existing office washroom or we are making it for new one? – Assume it is for new office

Number of washrooms required would be dependent on the size of floor. Can you give any particular size? – Average floor

What gender are we targeting? – All

Goal:

The goal is to design a Washroom for corporate office building.

User Groups:

Users: Employees(M/F), staff, Visitors.

Workforce: Cleaners, Sweepers and In-charge.

Suppliers: Persons fulfilling the supplies on daily basis.

Pain points of user group:

-          Access

-          Cleanliness

-          Proper functioning

-          Sinks

-          Labelling the apt washrooms

Use cases or features:

1.       User group is most likely to be impacted the washrooms access on the floors. They would require clean and dry floors to remove any chances of mis-happenings. In case of wet or maintenance times, users would like to be informed either before or at least during the maintenance with proper sign of caution.

2.       It would be great for users to have proper supplied like toilet rolls, water, hand towels and napkins in case of women.

3.       Another feature of good washroom is pleasant smell and décor like water purifying plants or scheduled air fresheners.

4.       There should be a feedback register for user to comment or compliment the maintenance.

For Workforce group

5.       Workforce group can organize the washroom with apt storage facility so that washroom do not look messy. They seek some roster place in washroom where they can check their timings and mark their attendance.

6.       It would be great to make some foldable bed where they rest a bit or some siting capacity.

For Suppliers group

7.       There should be scheduled access system to on/off their entry into the premises.

8.       They seek proper communication in term of supplies estimates and feedback.

Solutions

1.      I will build the washroom with proper water supply with pipes internally well designed/mapped as this feature is mandatory for all users groups and generally the cause of usage.

2.      I will ensure a map to washroom and board signs for usage is must to have to avoid any mis-happening.

3.      By providing apt supplies like towels, napkins, fragrances and a happy workforce, we can make washrooms a relaxing place.

4.      To ensure, security I would like to introduce a scheduled on/off access system for suppliers. In fact we can use a mini-app to keep track of suppliers, supplies and invoices.

Metrics

1.       No of users per hour

2.       No of happy feedback per month

3.       No of complaints per month

4.       Money spend by tracking invoices
