You are a platform PM. How would you improve the current platform and tools for Facebook's AR/VR developers so that they can build solutions with better performance and reliability?

Your direct customers are the developers but the customers' customers (the ones using the solution out there in the market) are also important to you.  

You can come up with a new design as well for the platforms and tools.  I am sure the engineering leads in companies would be the ones who take the technical decisions.  Assume as a PM you come across a new platform vendor who offers better performance , how would you make the trade-offs and decide between your current platform and the new vendor and discuss the priorities with your engineering lead for the product sense and execution.
