Assume I can pick any of the popular games? I assume yes and will pick Rummy. It is very old game and has many types popular is gin rummy and straight rummy. will confirm the objective of the game now is to to draw-and-discard on each turn, a player draws a set number of cards (usually 1) into his hand and then discards a set number of cards (also usually 1) from his hand. Sometimes it is possible to pick up the card which the opposing player has just discarded. In this manner, hands evolve into each other one card at a time. The objective, meanwhile, is known as melding. To meld is to lay down a collection of cards, either a set (three or four cards of the same rank) or a run (three or more cards of the same suit in sequence).
ask: if game improvement is computer/mobile or physical. assume it is same for either tech or human play. will ask if purpose of improvement is to 1. monetize, 2. make more adaptable, 3. interesting, 4, mobile app. assume it is to make more interesting.
id of the persona: assume it can be anyone from baby boomer to gen z.
customer need: add a new feature to make play more interesting.
ROI etc for now assume that is not relevant.
solution: this is important solution is to have some way to do speed chess type of feature to make it more competitive. this will force errors and will make this more interesting.
I will ask that person has to pick and disgard in one go. so there is no time to rearrange in hand and see matching. this requires quick thinking.
tradeoffs: this can be bit more challenging as some older players may take longer but still possible.
summary: i will add a feature similar to speed chess, the make player take card and disgard immediately, this forces errors and makes game more challenging and also faster.
