This problem falls under the category on how to improve a product feature or overall product in question.
Step 1 :
-Clarify "Social Interaction" and what would make it "meaningful"
-Does high Engagement /Like/Share/ Comment answer 50% of this qurestion to have a higher social interaction
- Depending upon World Affair "Meaningful" can be different things ; It would be helpful to understand the North Star Goal metric for this improvement
- If we want to reverse engineer and assign a tag to "Meaningful" we can analyze that
Foe example an updated question could be "How can improve and have a more meaningful engagement on FB around LGBTQ+ rights or Supreme Court Nominee in US "
We can assign meaning and then design a Analysis around it to track Engagement.
Step 2 Prioritize and propose a plan to track the metric around it (lets Assume we track this metric for 30-60-90 day period)
Lets assume our new problem statement is "How can improve and have a more meaningful engagement on FB around LGBTQ+ rights or Supreme Court Nominee in US "
My first Metric to track would be :
-Frequency and Quality of Engagement aroudn posts / like /comments /shares around posts related to these topics
- To be meaningful it has to be with real people ; identify SPAM or BOT Account and remove them
-Check and Validate Engagement on FB User Group Activity
-Check and track the DAU, # Avg Time spent on app /user /post for these topics
Step 3 Success Metric:
--> If we see organic growth in Enagegement related to the topics under scanner and natural enagegement (Quality and Frequeny)
--> SPAM /post and BOT/post is minimum
--> DAU/MAU for the period wer track this meaniful interaction over a tops shows the stickiness of the interaction and engagement level on App
