The question is vague, let me see if I can get some clarification
What do you mean by "Improve customer revenue" ? All revenues only come from customers, Amazon does not have any other means to generate revenue. Do you mean increase revenue ?
Yes, Increase revenue.
Ok, am I limited to increasing the revenues on the current offering or am I open to introducing new services and products current not addressed by Amazon ?
You are open to try out your idea.
I am going to take increasing over revenue, meaning the TOP line & not margin as my goal.
Is that ok ?
Yes.
Amazon is currently in retail shoping, AWS (web services), Prime video. These are the main money making businesses. In order to get big TOP line increase, they need to get into major catarogies or major markets.
Below are some ideas
1) Extend the AWS services to more regions. That way they cover secondary markets.
2) Enter into new businesses
a) THey are already experts in logistics, so a carrier services would be a logical extension beating out Fedex, UPS.
b) Pharmacy, it is good margin business & current logistics business a good ground base for distrubution. They can bring down the prices.
3) Extend Amazon retail into new markets.
4) Introduce service management : Be market place for people & companies to services.
For prioritzation, I would suggest to use few criteria a) Current Infrastructure applications b) Market Size c) Amazon brand recongition.
Using the above ones, the prioritzation is as follows
4) High, Large, Good.
2(a) HIGH, Large, Good
followed by others services mentioned above.
I would choose (4) Service Management. Amazon has infrastructure to host the site (IT service), the retail business has expertise in vetting the vendors & performance measurement & tracking.
