Mission of Google, Goal
Google: To organize world’s information and make it universally accessible
Goal: Adoption
User Segments (Underserved)
Kids (H)
Gen-Z (L-M)
Millennials (L)
Mid-age (M)
Senior Citizens (55+) (H) (Can have more impact)
Pain points (most intensified, going with Google’s mission)
Not knowing how to use a particular feature/do a particular action
Language barrier
Not knowing how to reverse an unintentional action
Not knowing how to get the knowledge themselves
Not knowing how to speedify calling in case of emergency
Solutions
Name: E-Mitra
Vision: A voice first and AI powered, android system application which can help senior citizens take full advantage of their mobile
We can use Google Assistant to extend this functionality
Key features
‘How to use’ : User can ask in their own language how to use this feature by clicking on CTA and AI powered assistant can show a quick video or can show how it is actually used (learning by doing)
‘Reverse this’: Actions which can be reversed will be automatically reversed and if they can’t be reversed, AI can help take preventive actions
‘Emergency Intimation’: AI can keep track of contacts they frequently call and can save emergency contacts. If they sense some irregularities in mobile timings, search history or health concerns, AI can immediately contact their closed ones or even general emergency services like hospitals, ambulance etc
Tradeoffs/Metrics
Trade Offs
Support of popular mobile apps like whatsapp, youtube etc - Giving them option to add it in code or maybe make it mandatory
AI can make mistakes - To take feedback and keep improving, manual human feedback will also help
Metrics
Adoption
#users asking first query
#users reversing the action for the first time/accepting preventive measures
DAU of the E-mitra
Satisfaction
%age of users disabling e-mitra
CSAT or internal survey (voice based)
