- user group selection and needs prioritization
- daily commuters will need to find only day long permit spots and they should be informed about where they can find that. local commutors will find a parking solution helpful ut as they know the city could find their way around. Tourist is the user groups I would select for te parking solution as they would be dependent on Google maps to get around the city
- Nearest to location - would be high impact as that is their primary need
- Price - would be nice to have for cost consious tourist- so it would be a medium impact
- Spot duration - is medium impact as if the tourist plans a short duration visit then limited parking hours would work but if they are planning whole day and the duration for parking is limited then they would be impacted
- Arrival and departure - tourist are flexible and could arrive and depart anytime, so to make the solution provide them information at all times would be high priority
- We will prioritize the parking solution for tourist to be able to find the nearest parking spot with updated information on availbility based on their arrival.
- product ideas
- google maps already provides information about the nearest parking spot to the location. what the parking solution would need to provide is the real time information if the parking is available. for that the following capabilities/ features would need to exist
- sensor based infromation for each parking spot
- the reservation infromation on how long the parking spots are going to be occupied based on the reservation information
- pricing information on different times in the day, so that price senstive tourists can plan accordingly
- alternate recommendation with additional information on pros and cons of the alternative to nearest parking location
