Let us first start with clarifying questions

1. Is it any specific set of cohort among CRED users we are targeting?

2. What is the objective of increasing the WAU ? - user engagement or revenue , etc. ?

3. Is it android users or Ios users which we want to focus ? ( assuming cred is app based completely )

4. Is it a specific feature among CRED for which we wnat to increase the weekly active users ? ( Bill payment, credit card payment, cred upi, garage, travel, etc. )

Let us now define the set of users for CRED-

1. Existing users - who are currently not active on the platform weekly

2. New users - Acquire new users to make them active on the platform

Now for each of these user base , let us identify the pain points -

1. Existing users

- Uses cred only for credit card payment - monthly ( has only 1 credit card )

- Does not find rewards appealing on cred ( cashback for cred upi or affiliate brand rewards on payments )

- Is not aware about other features of CRED like bill payment, upi, cred travel, etc.

- any previous dissatisaction which lead to soft churn - payment failure, etc.

2. New users

- Does not have a credit card so thinks CRED is of no use

- Is not aware about what CRED is

- Aware but uses other platforms like paytm, phone pe , bank app, etc.

Solutions

Existing users -

Cross sell other cred services which are used more frequently like cred UPI  ( push notification, home page design ) & send reminders on due dates of bill payment, etc.

Bring personalized rewards for the usersof their choice by looking at type of spends done by the person

Improve the exisiting analytical section of spends

Provide more incentive/reward to users who were previously dissatisfied

New Users -

Introduce new features for top 2% of Indians who use credit card - by analyzing their spends - travel food grocery shopping

               - give suggestions of nearby places with best food

               - cross sell cred travel to travel enthusiast

               - investing through cred in assets like cred gold, bonds, etc.

               - look for other financial services like trading in stocks, mf,etc.

Priortization -

Now based on reach, impact & effort we can prioritze some of these solutions. Based on my calculationn following can be priortized :

- Cross sell other cred services which are used more frequently like cred UPI  ( push notification, home page design ) & send reminders on due dates of bill payment, etc.

 - Provide more incentive/reward to users who were previously dissatisfied

Success Metrics -

Weekly active users

       - increase in active users of bill payments & service like upi

       - % of users engaging with rewards & than redeeeming it

       - No of taps on external triggers like pns, wa reminders, etc. ( of course sent%, delivered % ,etc.  of comms )

& many more...

Thanks
