    • Yes

  • Any specification that it should be an  App or web-based product

    • You can decide and prioritise

Vision

  • Since, the vision of Meta is to build communities and make world closer to each other, I would imbibe a similar vision to the cooking product that we are envisioning

  • Vision for the cooking product

    • Connecting communities and enriching the platter of everyone

User segment

As we are starting from India, we need to take into account cultural sensitivities while building the product

  1. Cooking teachers

    1. Chefs/ professionals

    2. Influencers

    3. Budding bakers/cooks

    4. Experimenters

    5. Region/dish masters

  2. Cooking students

    1. Teenagers who loves experimenting

    2. Family cooking food

    3. Family exploring cuisine

    4. Young professionals living alone or with few friends

    5. Fitness enthusiasts

We need a platform wherein, both teachers and students can collaborate and enrich the community using network effects

For the purpose of launching a new product, I would target groups which has the available time and the lot is bigger. So, I chose the influencers who have the appetite to create the content and a family who is exploring the cuisines

Pain-points

Anecdotally, I have seen that in India food bloggers/influencers are the major chunk sharing the various offbeat and interesting places to explore foods

  1. Intertia in terms of time and money investment

  2. Scattered information

  3. Quick decisions

    1. Deciding something to cook in another 15-20 min so no time to look for ingredients etc

I believe quick decision is the most effective pain point to target because our target user segment is family and they might not have luxury to scroll through loads of content and decide what to cook

Solutions

  1. Facebook Embedded cooking space - Video

    1. Filters such as geography, cuisine, dish specification, sports-friendly, spicy, less oily etc

    2. Space has its own search capability based on tags and keywords

    3. Separate video bucketing 15 min breakfast, 20 min dinner etc

    4. Effort - Low || Impact - Medium

  2. Separate app linked with FB and Insta - Video

    1. Content tunnelling from FB, Insta

    2. Follow the influencers based on your interest

    3. Similar content and suggestions

    4. Effort - Medium to High || Impact - Medium

  3. Smart cook app

    1. Gen-AI-based description with audience

    2. Scroll through heaps of video give insights

    3. Computing heavy so we can enter the major ingredients we have and the time

      1. Suggestions based on the ingredients and time

    4. Effort - High | Impact - High

I would choose the smart cook option such we would be rivalling the existing solution, which is prominently Youtube. So we need to add a differentiator and ride the Gen-AI wave

Metrics for success

  1. Suggestions accepted

  2. Videos viewed

  3. Content created per week

Guard rail metric

  1. Skewed content favouring by the model
